Chris Beagle

Combining a passion for community and helping others, Chris has worked in the housing industry for nearly a quarter century. A Pennsylvania native, Chris holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Welfare from Bloomsburg University and a Master’s Degree in Hospitality Management from Penn State. In 1989, it was there he met his partner, and now husband, Eric.

The couple established roots in New Hope, PA where Chris worked as a mortgage loan officer in Bucks County before establishing an independent brokerage in New Hope. Expanding his footprint, Chris also earned and held real estate licenses in PA and neighboring NJ.

Like so many, Chris was first introduced to Rehoboth Beach in his teen years while on a family vacation. He returned to vacation there again in the late 90s before eventually purchasing a second home with Eric, in 2003. Achieving a lifelong goal of living at the beach became a reality just three years later when the couple made Rehoboth their full-time residence. Currently, Chris and Eric reside with their Boston Terriers, Abbey and Piper, in the Rehoboth Beach Yacht and Country Club.

After four additional years in the mortgage industry, Chris decided to focus on establishing more direct relationships with his clients and obtained his Delaware real estate license.

In the spring of 2010 he joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Gallo Realty where he applied his extensive knowledge of the mortgage industry, allowing him to better assist clients throughout the overall home buying and selling processes.

A consistent top producer while at BHHS, Chris achieved the highest individual realtor distinction for the Gallo franchise in both 2018 and 2020. Additionally, he has earned the honors of being recognized as a member of the company’s President’s Circle and Founder’s Circle, which represents the Top 3% of BHHS agents nationwide. He was presented with the Washington Blade Foundation's “Best Rehoboth Realtor” award three consecutive years (2015-2017), and in 2015, received the franchise’s coveted Community Service Award.

“Community” has always been the cornerstone of Chris’s work outside of the office, having served on numerous non-profit boards for over 20 years. He was a board member of FACT Bucks County (Fighting AIDS Continuously Together) between 1999 - 2006 and later served as President for three years. Chris also co-founded the New Hope-Lambertville AIDS Walk, the longest running and highest revenue generating event in the organization's near 30 year history.

Since 2009, Chris has served on the Board of Directors of the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center (Creating a More Positive), the largest LGBT non-profit organization in Delaware. There he served as Vice President from 2013 to 2017 and as President since 2018. Noteworthy contributions have included being co-founder of the annual Sundance Racing Festival (established in 2010), founder of the annual CAMP Rehoboth Block Party (established in 2015), and being a leading statewide advocate for Delaware’s Civil Union and Same-Sex Marriage legislation (2011-2013).

After acting as a leader in the statewide push for Delaware’s Civil Union and Same-Sex Marriage legislation, he and Eric were selected in July 2013 to be the first male-couple to be married in Sussex County, and only the second in the State, something Chris has since referred to as his proudest life’s achievement. 

Never one resistant to change, Chris joined Compass in the spring of 2021 as the Founding Agent of its newly established Rehoboth office. He is thrilled to join such a forward-thinking, industry leader and is excited at the prospect of building another successful tenure with this dynamic company!
